Tell us a bit about yourself and how you came to be in (or a customer of) the legal business?
I didn’t intend to be a lawyer, I went to college to be an astrobiologist. However, I quickly discovered that it would require a lot of physics, which I didn’t love. At 17, I wasn’t sure what else I wanted to do, so I followed my cousin’s suggestion that I would be a good lawyer – I believe this was based on the fact that I won my first argument with him when I was two years old. In the end, I was fortunate to end up at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, where I got to practice with an incredibly talented group of people on fascinating cases.
