EVOLVE LAW LAUNCHES TECH FELLOWSHIP TO TRAIN LAWYERS ON DOCUMENT AUTOMATION TECHNOLOGIES

NEW YORK (January 27, 2017) Evolve Law, a community of legal entrepreneurs and innovators, has launched the Evolve Law Tech Fellowship, a prestigious four month program for in-house counsel and legal operations professionals focused on facilitating the implementation of new technologies.  The program will take place in New York City from March through June 2017.

The inaugural program focuses on document automation and assembly technologies.  Fellows will participate in a fast-paced accelerator-style program that includes educational content, product development and design thinking training, product demos, and hands-on implementation support.

“One of the biggest pain points in our community is with in-house attorneys who want to use more legal technologies but don’t know where to start, and don’t have the time or resources to do the research and implementation on their own,” said Jules Miller, Managing Director of Evolve Law. “The Evolve Law Tech Fellowship gives lawyers everything they need to know to get document automation software up and running in their company.”

The program is restricted to a maximum of 20 in-house counsel and legal operations professionals, with up to 10 innovative document automation software providers also participating in portions of the program. At the end of the Fellowship, participants will better understand the document automation landscape, have a framework for assessing other technologies and see tangible results from a pilot project implemented during the program.

“Evolve Law launched in 2015 and has become a catalyst for the accelerated adoption of legal technology and innovation with a vibrant legal innovation community of more than one hundred active members,” said Mary Juetten, CEO of Traklight and Managing Director of Evolve Law. “The Evolve Law Tech Fellowship provides a new way to support the community and highlights the growing interest from in-house counsel and legal ops in legal tech.”
