In this webinar, we’ll examine a variety of real-world cases demonstrating the many ways lawyers have intentionally or unintentionally breached the rules of ethics or trial procedure with the use of common social media platforms and messaging apps. We’ll also discuss how these problems are being addressed by various State Bar Disciplinary Systems. We’ll share examples of how fiduciary duty and conflicts of interest are often intertwined and inconsistent with the use of websites, testimonials, and inappropriate communications between parties (and by the judge) during trials and ongoing proceedings.

I wanted a certification that separates me from my peers. Upon discovering CEDS, I was convinced this was exactly the type of distinction I had been seeking. Since achieving CEDS certification, I’ve noticed immediate recognition from my organization, colleagues, and current and prospective clients. They acknowledge they are more comfortable working with a person who has taken time to seek such certification. CEDS has certainly been worth the small investment and should continue to beget returns for years and years to come.
